Alert when App closed

Hi all, quick question here... Im sure the answer is going to be a 'no', but I thought Id check as I couldn't find a definitive answer on the forums. :)

Is it possible to create a timer that continues to run when a GS app is closed, which can then lead to an alert of some sort while the app isnt open?

    Push notifications are not available. If you want to have an in app notification once it is reopened, you can accomplish that by using the device time to detect the last play time.
