Screen of text

I'm new to all of this so please forgive me if this is a dumb question or has been answered somewhere else. I'm struggling to get just a screen of text that you can scroll down to buttons at the bottom. If there is a tutorial somewhere that can help me I'd love to understand what I'm not getting.

If you literally want to make a screen full of text, like a credits screen, it's best/easiest to create that as an image and import that into Gamesalad for use.
