Pictures size?

in Working with GS (Mac)

Hi everyone,

What is GS exactly doing with the pics?

As an example I exported a pic form adobe illustrator with the size 50px . 18px and in GS the size was 22px . 9px.

So why is that so and what can I do to stop it?

Hope you guys can help me out!

    If starting a project with iPad as a base. Make your images 2 times the size you want them to be. Also make sure the images are 72ppi.

    Your resolution independence is checked, thats why iit'sts dividing your image sizes in half.
