Yeh the method I used worked perfectly for my game, however would be very laggy with more moving actors.
I just wrote to a table the gymnasts position, size, rotation and image. Using a loop table behaviour, I wrote these attributes to a new row every frame.
Then to replay, just change an identical actor's position, size... to the corresponding data on a loop.
I hope that helps and I'm sorry if that was really confusing! :P
