Z is for Zombie - Available tomorrow (Oct 27) in the App Store!

They finally approved Z is for Zombie for the App Store! It's due to go live tomorrow (October 27th, 2009), so I'll update this in the morning with a direct link. Only took 16 days.

    I'm going to reply back on this forum so not to hijack tshirtbooths.

    I'm using an ipod touch second generation. The first time it reset was at the very start of the game. I moved up to the top just as the first zombie came out and it reset. You also need to get a website. Apple likes to have a website to refer people to.

    Hi mulcahy. I tried out the game on a 3G iPhone and noticed a slight slowdown which caused more and more zombies to come on screen, which in turn caused the game to slow even more until it crashed. We had this problem with Flutterby while we were developing it, and the solution we came up with was to add a counter object that makes sure the number of enemies on screen are less than x, this being our tolerance for slowdown. If the system is trying to add more enemies beyond what can be handled, the counter bypasses the spawn behavior. Hope this helps.

    version 1.1 was resubmitted to the App Store last night to incorporate some changes:

    Original Changes:
    1. Zombies explode when they die
    2. Game is 2x longer

    Additional Changes:
    3. Performance Improvements - I've put a limiter on how many guys will display on screen at once. This should really help with the laggyness
    4. Basic Zombie AI - I still want to improve on this, but even at this level it makes the game better.
