Loading Image Error - Landscape Mode

in iPhone and Android Publishing

Hi Guys,

I'm in the midst of developing my game in Landscape mode and have been testing it on iPhone 6+.

Recently noticed that the Custom Loading Image, when booting up the app, skips to the top of the screen before landing in its intended position. I tried various formats and resolutions for the custom image but it didn't help. So I decided to look up previously featured apps in the GameSalad community; I installed games made in landscape "Milo & Me" and "Highbar".

Surprisingly the same happened to the Loading Image when I booted up the app. Seemed to be happening with apps developed with game salad in landscape mode. I've attached screenshots in this post.

Any idea how i can fix this?

    Thanks for the information! I don't have an iphone 6+ to test this but I'd be interested in the experience of others. Is this happening for everyone? I'm finishing a landscape game right now and I won't release it as long as crap like this is happening.

    Hi Hoodloc you're most welcome. What devices have you tested your game on? Are you experiencing the same error with those devices?

    Unfortunately I only have an iPod Touch 5 and an iPad Air 2. I haven't encountered these issues on them in landscape mode.

    Hi Shan

    Well I'm doing some Ad-hoc testing at the moment on a landscape game and on my iPhone 6 I do have the same issue where the loading image skips to the top and then settles correctly..I haven't really giving it any further thoughts thou..but would love to hear if it's an ongoing issue and if there's a fix for it

    Same here I had a similar issue with a published apk on 3 different devices

    Can, confirm. Happens for me too on iPhone5s Ad-hoc build.
