Accidental file deletion / WIP on GS Viewer / extraction from iPhone / Attributes and behaviors
Hello -
I must have not had my coffee when I accidentally deleted a gameproj file of a work in process. I had run the game on GSV, so I downloaded iExplorer and extracted the game from the iPhone.
When I run the game, the attributes and behaviors are all there, as the app works like a charm. However, when I click on an actor (either on the Scene screen or on the Actors screen), the attributes and behaviors do not show up. I tried the old back-forward, but no dice, plus closing and opening the app, no dice, and saving a file copy, but still no dice.
Any ideas on how to "recover" or see again the attributes and behaviors that are there? Thanks, regards.

have you ever published it through the portal? You can download a copy there too
@jonmulcahy , I published the file I extracted from the phone, but that gameproj exhibits the same behavior.
@mhedges if you have made a build in the publishing portal, then go to the history tab and download your zipped project from there.
Also, DO keep separate versions! EVERY save I do gets a new number, then I temporarily clean up the excess. e.g.
Flappy0001
Flappy0002_interface_done
Flappy0003
...
Flappy0012
Flappy0013_happy_with_physics
Flappy0014
Flappy0015_publish_ver1
...
you get the idea.
i was wondering if you published before you deleted it, they keep a history of published projects up there. If you've never published before it won't help.
Have you tried using an undelete program? It might work if you have not done too much since removing it
@Hopscotch , I published this morning after I realized I deleted the file. Will an undelete program work on a SSD?
@mhedges so you did upload it to the GS publishing portal? Then you can download the version from the History tab.
Beside the gameproj file, where else should i look within the compressed folder?
@Hopscotch , i uploaded the file extracted from the phone after the fact, not before the deletion, if that is what you are asking.
@mhedges, did you ever make an adhoc build? Or only used the viewer?
No, just used the viewer.
I'll do a deep dive of the folders to see if I misplaced it as opposed to deleting it, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
If you deleted a file it should be in your trash.
Not if I emptied the wastebasket!
