Ambient Writer rejected a second time re: IAP
Hi, any help to resolve my problem would be mighty appreciated, thank you.
My iPad app Ambient Writer has been rejected a second time due to an IAP problem. (I used @Armelline 's programming for it).
I'm at a loss what the problem is as I've gone through it with a fine tooth comb before submitting again. The strange thing is IAP works both times in TestFlight.
From Apple: "In order to approve your In App Purchases we have to verify the purchasability of the items being sold. Please make sure that your In App Purchase items are available for purchase at the time of review."
And in iTunesConnect, next to the reference name is a red exclamation mark, noted as "An In-App Purchase has been returned and is highlighted in the table below."
And Status says: Developer Action Needed though I don't know what action is needed.
The screenshot they supplied shows "Failed" on the IAP button.
Has anyone used the basic IAP programming, and is that sufficient, can I ask?

If so, I'm thinking I'll just go with that the time, and remake the IAP stuff in iTunesConnect beforehand.
Anyone any thoughts please?

What was the reason for rejection?
Hi Armelline, I've edited the above since you read it: I explained there. If you need any more info please let me know, and I'd appreciate any help, thanks.
With ref. to "In order to approve your In App Purchases we have to verify the purchasability of the items being sold. Please make sure that your In App Purchase items are available for purchase at the time of review."
Not sure why my IAP item isn't available at time of review. That seems to be the crux of the problem.
Perhaps I'll remake the iTunesConnect IAP info with a different product ID and try a third time, see if that makes a difference. Third time lucky, they say...
Sounds like maybe one is not set up in iTunes Connect correctly, but it shouldn't work in TestFlight if it's that. Perhaps ask them for more information?
@Armelline A good idea, Ted, I'll try that first, thanks.
I've just seen, in iTunesconnect, I hadn't put my password for the Demo Account. I wonder if that was the problem?
I'm awaiting more info from Apple - perhaps they'll confirm that...
If it is, shame I can't submit the same binary, I guess...
(or perhaps i can with a note)
That might well be it!
Fingers crossed it is, Ted, thanks!
If your app does require some kind of login, that is most likely the case. I had one of my apps rejected for not providing the login details.
Easy to forget
Thanks for confirmation, @Dues .
Smells like Tom Hanks is behind all of this rejection!
Hey, @Lovejoy sorry, don't understand your humour (I'm slow sometimes...)

Tom Hanks the actor, released an App last year i think called Hanx Writer, which is similar to yours, it was all over the news and stuff.
So my joke was how its a conspiracy, how he is paying off apple to slow down the release of your app since it would be a competitor.
Oh, I understand now, thanks! You could be right! If I'd have known Tom Hanks was going to do a similar app I might have not bothered....ah well, all done now, might as we'll get it in the store.
Drat you, Tom Hanks! (Not really...
)
Just taken a look at Tom Hanks' app - some similarities but thank goodness plenty of differences to mine. Was getting worried there for a moment...
