Jump Help

I am creating an app that I hope to release on the App Store. So anyway, in this app, the character will have to jump a certain distance when I tap on any part of the screen. I have found no online tutorials helpful and was wondering if this Help Heaven could maybe help me? Thanks! I use an iMac Desktop.

Have you watched any of the platformer videos from @jamie_c ? But to do something like that make a rule in your character

    Rule

    When game.touch.count = 1

    Change velocity

    Angle 90 (scene)
    Speed 800

I tried Jamie's and it only made my character go up and never come down.

    I will try your method.

You need a counter velocity to make an actor come down and you need to shut off the up velocity. So you need to create gravity by using a accelerate behavior with a downward force. The apply an upwards velocity greater than the downward force. Just like real world physics.
