If you're subscribed to Basic, then Pro only costs a maximum of $10 more. You only need Pro the months you want to publish, so for a lot of people that will be 1 month they need Pro for. It used to be that you had to buy a whole year of GameSalad to be able to publish, so a single month of Pro at $10 more than basic is a steal

The thing that differentiates Basic and Pro is that you can publish with Pro.
You only need to take out a single month of Pro if you want to publish, you don't have to take out a whole year's subscription.
