HTML5 Game won't work offline...help!

heliopodheliopod Member, PRO Posts: 2

I've created a game that works fine in both the html preview and after it's been published in html5 on my website and locally when I am connected to the internet. However, whenever my computer isn't connected to the internet, the file no longer works. Does anyone know why?

cheers, Jason

It needs to be run from a server. You can't run it locally.

Can I use something like Wampserver to simulate a server environment do you think?

@heliopod - Check out @jonmulcahy's thread for his 'wrapping' of his 'A Long Way Home' Steam game:-

It should prove helpful if a standalone/offline EXE is desired/required - I tried Web2Executable mentioned on that page of the thread, and got my Gravity Star game to run quite easily, but for some reason it just hung on scene changes - not sure what I did wrong, but it looked promising at least...
