Is it possible to Play Videos Files in GameSalad?

Hello,

I'm aware of adding Image files in GameSalad. However, I was wondering is it is possible to add videos into GameSalad?

Preferably a way to fetch the video data off of an internet server because adding a lot of videos to the project would drastically add to the overall app file size.

    With Open URL, you can play a YouTube video.

    Only youtube videos? hmm If its an open URL it may be possible to multiple video instances from other locations as long as its a URL

    Or a video on Vimeo.

    I have put a number of short, 2-3 minute videos, that were small in size 960x540, but still HD, on tourism websites and they play fine from an ordinary server if the user has a descent Internet connection, even over ADSL. So you could embed a video in a web page of your own, even if there were no links to it from within your website, and use that URL.

    Wonder how hard it would be for GameSalad to implement Chartboost's video system? @adent42

    @Armelline
    interesting thought

    we could basically run cross promo videos via chartboost and trigger them in our games.
    It would always end up with pop and a referral to another of your apps.
    Which is kind of weird.
    But could be explained as cinematic + cross promo ad pop up

    but there is also no option to trigger a specific video via chartboost.

    And for stand alone would be indeed interesting if they could use parts of their sdk to build their own out of it.

    @BigDave - that would be a very clever solution actually. I was thinking about the specific video delivery platform Chartboost offers - or at least thought they did, based on a whole bunch of ads I saw. Looking for it now, though, I can find no mention of it! Maybe it was someone else, but I'm pretty sure it was Chartboost!
