Arcade game project finished

muusimuusi Member, PRO Posts: 111

Spent my childhood (and all my money :) ) in the 80s playing arcade games, so naturally I had to make one of my own.

**Tadaa! **Here it is my very own arcade game!

Here are some images of the process.

Getting the materials

Planning the shape

Cutting

Putting it together

Electronics

All most there

Here's some gameplay of the heart of it all, the actual game

I'm going to release a Android and IOS versions of the game soon and I'm looking for beta testers, pm me if you want to take part!

Pretty sweet! I like the process photos. Looks like a decent amount of work. :)

Thanks @tatiang! Cabinet took about 100 hours and for the game I have lost count, but I think it's close to six months. :D

Ooh awsome! How where you able to create those input buttons into gamesalad?

In Gamesalad I'm just using normal keyboard inputs (space for fire and arrow keys for jump and directions) then with a little handy program called Enjoyable I can map the keys to the controller. With this setup I can play any other arcade game out there, including the Exerion, the game that ate all my weekly pocket money back in the 80s.

That is really cool, I love the cabinet build! The game looks very cool as well, certainly has a retro-arcade feel to it.
