problem submiting to apple

hi i have my game ready and compiled. there is a problem:
when i upload the zipped file of my game up this error appears (in itunes connect):
The binary you uploaded was invalid. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission certificate.
but i am sure to have all the provision and distribution files correct.
also i built my app on my ipod touch 2g 3.1.2 correctly without any problems (Device - 3.1.2/ Distribution).
what do i do?

i have 3 certificates + 2 keys(1public 1 private).
Go through the guides on the apple developer website, you problem is on that end
Finally submitted my first app after 8 hours of problem solving!!
I am proud to announce that i am the most stupid person ever existed.
this weekend i registered my membership and continued fussing about that the membership wouldnt activate... whilst instead it was me who had inserted the wrong email address (*cough*stupid*cough*).
then i have just realised that the ad hoc distribution is actually necessary for submission(that is what i have been working on for the past 8 hours(*cough*stupid*cough*).
