Gendai TOS states:
7. Subscription Fees and Electronic Communications
You must have an Account to participate in any Gendai Game Services. You can sign up for a free membership Account to use the basic version of the Gendai Games Services, but to access and use the “Indie” and “Professional” version of the Gendai Game Services, you must pay an annual subscription fee. Payment for the initial subscription fee will be charged to your Account on the date on which the professional version of the Gendai Games Services is first made available to you (“Activation Date”). Thereafter, on each yearly anniversary of the Activation Date, your subscription will automatically renew and your Account will be charged for the then-current annual subscription fee, unless you cancel your subscription prior to the upcoming anniversary of the Activation Date.

Emphasis is mine...

In their defense, when you signup, it clearly states that this is a pay pal subscription, or at least it did when i signed up

Probably still true. I think I was so excited to be signing up that I skipped over all of the fine print... ;-)

It did clearly state auto renew when you signed up, but if you're worried you can cancel the auto renew via paypal, no big deal.
