Maths problem.

Hi guys, it's not actually game related but I was wondering if somebody could tell me how to solve...

3x + 2
--------- = x + 3
2

Its supposed to be (3x + 2)/2 = x + 3

    1.5x+1=x+3

    .5x+1=3

    .5x=2

    x=4

    EDIT: did we just cheat on your homework?

    A bit. Well, not really. I see where you got 1.5x+1 from.

    But then I didn't understand where you got 0.5x (.5x) from.
