iPad not working

so I got my iPad working with the GS viewer. But, it just sits there "waiting for connection" I can't figure out how to get the GS game to play on the iPad? What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

    if the iPad were really as "magical" as apple makes it out to be in the commercials it should really know that you wanted to open GS on your mac and open it for you, don't you think?
