iPad Publishing - Need to check armv7?

NinjaNinja Member Posts: 7
Do I need to tick the checkbox "Require armv7" when I publish my iPad app in GS?

My app was rejected by Apple. Reason was "because it crashes on launch on iPad running iOS 4.2.1". I couldn't reproduce the crash. It runs well on GS Viewer. I also published using AdHoc profile and run on actual target iPad. The app didn't crash as well.

My iPad was updated with IOS 4.2.1.
My xCode version is 3.2.5.

I am at a lost now. Any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

ouch! I am sorry to hear that ... strange that so many others have submitted apps and no one mentioned that?

I too am interested to learn more about this option.

what is the "Require armv7" option and why is it ON by default?

I submitted mine for the iPad without this option and everything works great.

I believe that the arm7 is the processor that Apple used after the first iPhone. If the app is too intense for the 3G you tick it so people with this device cannot install it. All iPads Were built after the use of the arm7 processor so you should tick it for iPad apps.

This is my understanding, if anyone else knows more then post.

    Cheers n that

You don't have to check it for the iPad, since there is only one ipad leave it blank.

    Ninja... what happened?

    I've encountered this same problem.

I have no idea how to get the app to not crash after launch.
