What Ipod touch gen works best for GS development?

Hey, my old Ipod touch stopped being detected by my mac and since i'm in the market to buy a new one I was wondering what generation I should get.

    if you want to make sure your app works on older devices, get a 1st gen, otherwise get the latest

    Agreed. The older the better. I use a 1st Gen iPhone, as well as my iPhone 4. If it works on my 1st Gen...it will FLY on my 4th Gen.
