Sprites become opaque on iPhone

I have asked it a couple of times on the forum but I haven't received any replies. My sprites are perfect on GS and on the iPhone simulator (which should be pretty close to the real thing) however their blending mode appears to be opaque when I finally try to test it on the iPhone. How is this possible? Circles appear inside opaque boxes in stead of blended seamlessly over the background.

The sprites are .png and the alpha mode is selected correctly as far as I can tell. Otherwise they wouldn't have looked right in GS or on the iPhone simulator. I don't believe the're a problem with my phone.....

I finally found the problem. My sprites are all done in CorelDraw on my PC, saved to .png with the right alpha values, etc. It turns out that, when I open them on the Mac, and save them again without any adjustment or modification, the problem is gone. One of those hard problems to troubleshoot.

I wil start coming up with easier problems, I promise. I can already see ol' tshirt shake his head when he sees my name on the forum.
