Need help editing images!!!

I need help on one of the simplest questions: how do I take away the White in the background of the images I bring in? It is interfering with the background. Please Help!!!!!

    Your image need to have a transparent background to it, probably right now it is white. Also PNG would probably be the recommended format.

    You need to open in photoshop or gimp( or whatever you use) go to layers, transparency and add alpha chanel. Then use the fuzzy select tool or choose by color tool and select the white background, then go edit, clear and itll be transparent.
