    quicktime will do it for free, you can also try Jing

    thanks! but when i playback, theres no sound? Can i change that?

    try this, it's a 3rd party plugin that allows you to record system sounds. I'm also editing your title to be a little more descriptive for people who are also looking for screen recorders.

    I used an audio cable to connect the headphone jack to the line-in jack. That let my Quicktime screen recording get sound too.

    Yet another ingenious solution from photics. I believe I will employ this tactic in stead of screwing with sunflower. LOL
