gravitational gravity-abiding gravity thing with gravity

how can i make 2 objects not affected by gravity? i need them to still be able to move in and out from the screen (they're pop out menu's and icons) but they are either effected by gravity or they won't move. what should i do?

    Better not to use gravity, just apply downward velocity like acceleration to the actors you want affected by gravity.

    can i also add in accelerometer support with the same commands?
