Iphone 5 or Ipad 2?

I have an iphone 3gs and would love to have either an iphone 5 or an ipad 2. the problem with the iphone is
- It won't be a new experience or a new platform to develop on.
Problem with ipad
- it may be good for development, but many of my friends say its not really worth the money. and you won't use it as much..

    your friends must not own an iPad.

    since neither have been announced or out yet, you really can't make a decision between the two. just wait and see

    I think I would upgrade my iphone before getting an ipad but I want both so you buy me the ipad and i'll buy me the iphone. :)

    iPad is my vote. you'll love it and use it more than you think. Plus you can start making iPad games and test them.
