Maybe this is a bug, or maybe I did something wrong, but for some reason my HUD isn't displaying in my game.

I rearranged my scene to set up for finally designing the first level, but when when I previewed my game after setting everything up, my entire HUD layer disappeared. How could this have happened and how can I fix this one?

Sounds like you moved the HUD off a non-scrollable layer onto a scrollable one.

    QS :D

Like qs said either that or you moved another layer on top of it

oddly enough, neither. It's the top layer, and it's not checked as scrollable.

    Just found something else out!

If I change my HUD layer to scrollable, suddenly my HUD is back, however when not scrollable, its still gone

IS your hud set up within the camera origin?

Camera origin? Do you mean the camera control? No that's centered on my player.

Someone please help, the HUD is one of the most important parts of this game!

All your HUD stuff needs to be in the lower left of the scene. Not where you start the camera.

Sorry for late response, yeah thats what i meant by camera origin like code monkey said.

Even if you start your main character with the control camera behavior outside the outlinded box in the lower left of the scene, (or the whole scene when you dont change the size)

The hud still needs to be positioned inside that square, and since its non scrollable and in the camera origin it will follow your player

Ah! I completely forgot about this detail when creating non-scrollable layers!! Thank you so much Code monkey! I'll never be making this mistake again!

call me thick headed but.. what if you need your hud to be top right of the screen?

    Edit: never mind...
