Mac App Observations

So, as many of you know my game Obliteration was released in the app store yesterday.

I thought about porting my Zombie Heads HD app to the mac app store, but i was concerned with the size of the app, since it is a portrait game, it is 1024px tall, but my macbook air is only 800px tall.

I am happy to report that if you have the game start in fullscreen mode, it resized to fit the screen perfectly. If you exit fullscreen mode, it shows the app full size, so the bottom 1/4 is cut off.

    Slow, 25 sales yesterday, but I have not done any marketing push yet. That starts today

    So you published your app in GS at 'Fullscreen' and all works well? I published it at the size (1024x768) and I get black bars on the side + a thin white strip on the right too.

    I've been waiting in review since the @#$^ 9th. If it gets approved I'll have to resubmit it in the fullscreen mode.

    Well, i get huge black bars on the side because he game is only 768x1024, ipad resolution. But, my macbook air is only 800px or so high. I was concerned that if you design an app for. Hi resolution what happens on lower res screens.

    ehh. ok. I kinda failed at the whole marketing thing. I've been so wrapped up in my new game. I'm going to try and send some stuff out tomorrow.

    I've made enough to pay for the mac dev license which is all I really cared about, so that's nice.

    at least you made the money back for the dev center license
