itouch 2nd gen problem

Just tried provisioning a 2nd gen itouch through the automatic certification in xcode. This seemed to work and loaded the GS viewer onto the itouch. It links and loads from GS but no animation, just still graphics. I can change levels from the GS interface but no joy on animation or sound. After trying it from my own games I loaded some of the starters and demos off the GS front page. LIttle joy. I was wondering if the xcode tool which puts the itouch on as a team item in the provisioning is not doing the right thing or is something up with the build to the itouch. I have tired several builds that claim to be successful, none with success. Is the only way to do it is to go onto the dev site and provision it there as one of my GS devices (like I have with my 4th gen touch and (just now...) previous gen ipad.?

problem solved. It would seem if the clock and date are out on the device then the apps would not work. The touch had been out of use for a while and the battery was flat so the date and time had reverted to a 1976. Once corrected it fixed everything. I guess this might be to do with the time limits on the certificates? Anyone else had such a problem?

I keep my 1978 iTouch in a safe at my lawyers office. I am sure it's going to be worth a lot of money and I want to sell it in a few years and retire.
