Folders?

Is there any way to make folders in GS? I try to make my games fairly complicated, and wind up with hundreds of actors. I'd really love a way to group them together by type or scene.

Nope, one thing that I hope GS will add soon.

  • I hope so as well. It would just make the whole thing much easier to use and streamlined.

    have you used tags?

If you create and drag your actors in to tags then you can use the drop down menu in the left panel to show just those actors in that tag.

I dislike my game being so disorganized. I'd like to group my actors and scenes into folders. Is there a way to do this? If not, this would be a nice new feature.

There are tags you can use for your actors but unfortunately no folders for either at this time.

  • I have used tags, and I suppose that works alright. It just seems like it would be easier to include folders for those of us who are used to NTFS.

    Daniel,
Please take the time to search for your question before posting. I personally answered this very question for another user 2 hours ago. http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=20122. That thread is even still visible on the main page. And the search would have likely found posts from months ago with the same question and answer.

    Thanks
    Aaron
