Bypassing internet rounter. MactoIpad connection

I want to bypass using my internet wifi router to connect GS creator to the ipad. uploads to my ipad are to slow and take to long. Uploads to my iphone are fast. I want to do a wireless link from mac to ipad. Can someone show me how or point me in the direction of a good tut?

    Click on the wireless icon at the top of your mac and create a new network. setup a computer to computer network and once its running go into settings on your device and connect to your computer
