ok so i "published" my app for testing on my ipod. while in the advanced options, i selected normal portrait mode as the only orientation. when i was testing my app on my ipod, it would turn to any orientation that i had my ipod rotated at. is this a bug, or will it fix itself when submitted to apple?

apple requires you support at least both portrait or both landscape. Also the autorotate stuff is setup inside each scene. So you may want to check there that it doesn't have all four ways checked.
