working with attributes

I am working on a game where I need to build a rule that looks at the attribute of the item it is colliding with and compare it to it's own attribute. I tried working with tags, but tags are not modifiable so that won't work. Any ideas?

    I think it talks about working with instances of actors instead of prototypes, and how you can access other actors attributes that way.

    This will not work if you are spawning however, everything has to already be in the scene
