images are corrupting my files, is that possible?

I put this pictures in my project and when i previewed it it crashed and then i could not open it again, even when i renamed the .gsuser. i opened a new project and recreated the same scene with the same graphics, but no coding just graphics. I previewed it and it crashed and again i couldn't open.
Is there really such a thing as a bad graphic?

    are all the images 72dpi?

    what are the specs on the graphics?
    file type?
    size?
    resolution?

    what program did you use to save it?

    .png extension
    size on disk: 12 kb
    Created and saved in "Art Text 2"
