YouTube PARTNER - Who has gotten it? Tips?

As said in the other thread - YouTube seems to be the best way to promote your app,
so definitely make a video of your own, and send promos to reviewers

Not sure where to post this, but I wanted to ask you all.

I know someone here must have YouTube "Partnership", which means you get paid for adds that pop up.
Slightly annoying, yes, but profitable.

this is my YouTube channel - I mostly review synth apps, drum machines, and yes, occasionally games!

I applied for partnership last month but got the "insufficient original content" message,
which surprised me, because reviews and tutorials fall into the "fair use" category, don't they?

Many other partners have hundreds or even thousands of these types of videos up.

Any good advice, from those who have achieved the honor of "Partner"ship?
(YouTube is known for not communicating directly with videomakers.
I suppose it's because they could spend their entire time doing that?)

I'm going to delete some of these videos before I apply again,
(I have a couple "machinima" cartoons made with scribblenauts?)
but don't want to take down more content than necessary!

I have a friend that is a partner, but they came to him with the offer. It's a good deal if you can get it, but you have to have a lot of subscribers and channel views before they will even consider inviting you in. He's a comedian/character actor and has over 50,000 subscribers. The dude is hilarious.

It pays his rent and buys his food every month.
