3D Software that I can Create Sprites From?

Hi

I am interested in finding some 3D software which I can take the models and get sprites from them, directly or film the animation and then make the video into a series of JPEGs. Wondered if you guys knew about any software?

Thanks.

Josh.

Cheetah3D is pretty extensive and it's Mac too for $149.

Also I would give 3DCoat a serious look for $285. It has awesome voxel sculpting, UV mapping, retopology and texture painting. Pretty sweet deal!

    I cannot recommend daz studio 3D enough - http://www.daz3d.com/

You have to buy the models though, which can be limiting, but there's so much stuff you can mix and match it's not really a problem.

Have a look at my free Xmas comic to see some of what you can do: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xmas-2097/id344952368?mt=8

Or look at Singularity Drive on iTunes here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/quantum-sheep/id333502540
The Ship in all the pics is a Daz 3D model.

It even has animation built into the program and you can render to still images, avi's or avi's as a string of still images.

The actual programme is free, but buying models can get expensive, so join their platinum club for some good price reductions.

Before using Daz, I used to use Swift 3D - but I much prefer the former.

    Hope that helps,

    QS :)

    Ok guys this is great.

@TinyMonster Blender is incredible for free, and I have known of it it for a good time now only its a little complex for me.

@MikeQuinn Those are both pretty cool. Cheetah is sticking out due to its ease of use, but 3D coat for its features.

@QuantumSheep Well I heard you suggest Daz 3D before :) I get the feeling you like it, but I have downloaded it and also downloaded a free model (the michael base) but I can't get it working, I think I am having a slow day (which seem to be common for me, hehe). Swift £d I am yet to look at. :)

Thanks so far, any more suggestions are more than welcome, thanks guys!
