Search for Swipe Demo in the GameSalad creator. Its a demo I made based on that tutorial.
You can compare from there. or just use it as your base. its also currently setup for x and y directions.

Alright , found out what the issue was. Im going to say for other to know incase. In the "drag" actor i had in the download i included , the very first behavior is a "constrain attribute" when its supposed to be a "change attribute". Cant believe i missed this lol
