Anyway to change scenes with smooth transitions?

I was wondering if theres a way to change scenes with a smooth transition other than it just going to it all fast.Like maybe a fade in/out kind of thing.Also how can i get to when i go back to a scene it dosent reset and takes off from where you last left when you switched views?

you can make some sort of transition effect right before the scene changes. check out gamersrejoice videos on his TOTB3 to see an example

Check out the video of the transitions template I made a while ago.
You can do all sorts of cool things. Pretty much whatever you can think of really.

When you trigger whatever you need to for the "end" of the scene, do your cool stuff, and then change the scene.
