Art Becomes Blurry When Resized

I have a few very high resolution graphics that I made that are very large. When I import them into gamesalad and they are used as an actor, they are still sharp. When I resize them to make them smaller, they get blurry and pixelated even though when they where larger they were clear and I resized them proportionally. When I make it smaller before putting them into gamesalad, they are still blurry in gamesalad. Any tips?

are u resizing to a even size? and are they even and even when divided by 4 and 72 dpi?

I tried this and it help quite a bit, the images look much better now, thanks.
