another issue with buttons on scene

hey guys, I have a background set to spawn an actor when touch is pressed. in the bottom right hand corner I have a try again button, set p so when you touch it the scene is reset, but it keeps spawning my actor. Anyway around this? I need to have the button on the screen so people can do the level over again. Thanks.

    Set a timer maybe?

    I think I need to do something to the actor to make it so that it is not part of the background but I am not sure how to do that.
