Simple Text question

I am trying to put just some simple text on my home screen but I need help getting it to display without this annoying white block around it. Any help?

    You can turn the Alpha value in the color to 0 The text is not affected by that. I will be completely invisible during scene editing but once the scene loads the text will appear.
