This guy worked on many great games including super meat boy, braid, ect. I have watched about 10 of these. He really knows what he is talking about. Just thought I'd post it.

enjoy :)

Found a few more. They aren't all the same person, but they for sure know what they are talking about and really tell you how game design and development really should be.

Also, if you haven't already seen these yet, I would recommend watching all of these videos as well! Not as long or inspirational as the others, but they are part of the Indie game movie. The developers talks about their games and what they did to make them. Just click the top(banner) and it will take you to another page, then watch the videos.

Thanks for posting. Have a lot or respect for Jonothan Blow, his new game looks great too.

So when is your (first?) game coming out Dreamlab? Looks like you're listening to the right developers.

If you are talking about Braid, it is already out! haha. It's like 10$ on the MAS.

See, I have some bad history, with starting and not finishing a game! So I would get half way through and start another project. And the cycle would continue. I am working on 2 games right now, I hope for one of them to be done soon. But with my history who knows! I hope I get far enough soon to give a sneak peek though! Thanks for asking!

And yes, these guys are pretty talented. Whenever I watch the videos it gets me in the "game making" mood. haha.

No I mean the one coming out soon - WItness.

Well you know what he said in the video - 95% of games don't get finished...!

Seeing as you're still very young how about not worying about making the 'perfect game' (if that's your concern?) and just finish your most developed game first.

Here's a nice anecdote for you: A pottery teacher splits a class of new potters into 2 groups. The first are told to make the best pot they possibly can. The second are told to make as many pots as they can.

And at the end of the lesson, the best pots come from... the second group.

I look forward to watching these videos! Any that you suggest to start out on?

And an interesting article I've posted in the past, it might give y'all ideas on how to get people hooked on your games!

Ooohhh I haven't watched that video in awhile. That was the first one I watched, I posted when I saw the one about human condition. Must have forgot about it. I'm sure it will be a good one!

I know I can't make the perfect game, but you're pretty close! Most of the games I end up just not caring for. Before having watched these videos I was basically trying to make a game that would be "successful", and not a game with things I myself would want to play. But AFTER watching the videos, I was a little inspired to do a game based on my likes and dislikes.
