Horrible performance on iphone! Help!

My game functions perfectly in the GS viewer & the GS preview modes. As soon as I play the adhoc on my phone, my main actor doesn't spawn correctly & the performance is completely different. It basically goes from working perfectly to barely working. Anyone else experience this sort of thing? I'm previewing on a iPhone 3.

    When you test on the GS viewer (not computer preview), what are the things like FPS and total RAM usage?

    FPS: 60.03

    Sounds: 1.4MB

    Game Engine: 19.1MB

    Other: 46.8MB

    Total: 87.7MB

    Its the total memory thats causing that.

    Anything over 50ish is pushing it and will crash on the older generation devices.

    Maybe to much spawning, try to recycle actors.

    It's weird... there are basically only 5 or so spawned actors in any given level & the total memory usage is over 80 megs. After the first level, the usage goes over 100 megs.

    I also have had similar problems, what's the "other" section it refers to?

    usually the other is made up of your spawns, constrains and timers that will eat up the memory.

    Yup as stated, theres the problem and as StusApps has pointed out, thats what the other section is
