Hi everyone,

I've found the fantastic Mr Ninja template within the Gamesalad templates and it's a great starting ground for an app, however, the template is for a web based game and I'm trying to turn it into a iPhone based app.

Currently the way you make the character jump is by clicking your mouse, I've changed this so if you tap on your iPhone the character jumps, I've done this however, when I tape or swipe on the iPhone it only moves a couple of pixels and falls off the screen???? Very odd.

I'm just wondering if any of you tech savvy developers can suggest a way for me to change the programming so it actually works on a iPhone.

Sorry for sounding like a muppet, and I would really appreciate the help as it's driving me bonkers!!!

Cheers all,

Chris

RKS, that was someone else asking about a graphic of a ninja. He just happened to mention the same template.

cnmeyer1980, I'm a little confused about what you mean. What does your rule for jumping look like?

Aaaah, I see. Thanks for sorting that out mate.

Unfortunately I'm not near my mac at the moment so I cant be 100% sure of what it exactly says. Originally it said something on the lines of 'when mouse is clicked...' and I changed it to 'when button is pressed ...'

I appreciate that the above isn't very useful, so as soon as I've got back to my MAC I will write down exactly what it did say, and what I've changed it to.

Thanks so much for your help mate and I hope you're having a great weekend.

    Cheers,

    Chris

If it was when touch is pressed, change it back to when mouse is clicked. Touch is pressed means only when touch is inside the actor, and it sounds like you need to have it be whenever you touch anywhere. Try switching it back and testing on a device.

it seems to work fine for me without editing the code,
all you have to do is switch it to iPhone
