Hey guys,

Alex again with another question. I created a Button which has the function to show a text when getting pressed. So far so good, but the problem appears at longer texts over 2-3 lines, then it only shows a few words of my written text. How can I change the displayText to more lines?!

thank you...

greetings Alex

Hi Alex, there's two ways to get what your after.

The first way is to check Wrap inside actor in the Display Text behavior and resize your actor accordingly. The last time I did this though, I seem to remember a small bug, because it doesn't wrap whole words.

The second way is to type each line as you want; the end of each line, press alt return. (Shift return also seems to work but I personally haven't tested that beyond GS Preview).

I tryed to resize the actor but this doesn't work :/

I do not understand your second way to solve this problem, if I go into the actor and add a new displayText I can't press alt return!

Resizing the actor didn't work? Providing you've checked Wrap inside actor you will be able to resize the actor to accommodate the words put into the Display Text behavior.

The second way: in the field in the Display Text behavior where you want to type your multiple lines, type your first line, then press alt return. Type your second line, then press alt return. Type your third line, etc.

    Hope that helps.

    Okay second way is clear.

Refering to the first way, where do I find Wrap?!

    Thanks a lot

No worries: the "Wrap inside actor" checkbox is within the Display Text behavior itself. (Next to "Align").
