Different method to spawn an actor?

Hey,

as I noticed that the behavior "spawn actor" needs a lot of memory usage, I wanted to
ask if there is a other method to do?
I have an actor spawning one object for a certain time...and as I am nearly finished I want to reduce memory usage, as much as possible.

thx

If you have one or more actors that will reappear during the scene you could use recycling instead. You keep the actors you would normally spawn off to the side of the scene so they're not visible. Then "move" them into place when you would normally spawn and move them back off screen when you would normally delete them.

Edit : but I don't think one spawn on its own is going to impact ram at all. depends on what else is going on in the game. I use spawn but not excessively.

My app runs up to a maximum of 60mb.
    Fraps are always over 50fps.

    Hope that's okay :)

50+ fps is fine. I wouldnt worry about the odd spawn ;-)
