Itunes take 40% from European people?

I have read that European people paid a fee of 40% and not 30% to Itunes. And others from the rest of the world paid Apple 30%.
Is this true? If I calculate my app price and see my "royalty" price what I get, it is true!!! I sell the apps for 0,79 euro cent and get paid 0,48 euro cent.
Or is this because Itunes hold TAX from European people too in his fee from our apps, who know this?

I would imagine Apple would be your best source for this question. I have heard of stores holding more if you do not send them the proper tax forms. but I had never heard of apples cutting being larger for foreign devs.

Like I said. Emailing apple would prob be your best bet to get a for sure answer.

The Europe branch of Apple (i'm in UK) takes 40% since they pay the VAT (currently 20% in UK) which is included in the price shown on the app store. In the US Sale Tax is added on top of the price shown.

Its based on where you are located as a developer not where the apps are sold.
