How do I mimic getting pulled into a black hole?

Hi, I'm using Tshirtbooths neon thrust template and I'm trying to add a black hole to a level, when the player gets within a certain distance it pulls the player towards the centre of the black hole i.e like getting pulled into a whirlpool, I also want the player to be able to counteract the force its being pulled in by if the player thrusts in the opposite direction. I hope ye understand what I'm looking for here if not just ask and I'll try and explain myself a bit better. Any help at all would be great guys.

Well I think since know one has ever truly experienced a black hole and lived to tell the tale its gonna be hard to mimic the Real thing…… LOL….. oh right you prob want a useful answer.

I would say something along the lines of tracking the magnitude of the player and the black hole.
Then the lower the magnitude the higher the accel rate you should be moving into the black hole.

I have some ideas bouncing around inside my noggin. Once I get some food in my belly I can probably sit down and make a demo.

I'm from Ireland mate we experience black holes every weekend after a few beverages, oh wait maybe that only happens in my head, I really must give up all this binge drinking :-)

Ya I kinda understand what you mean but a little demo would be great if you have the time? I'll just fool around with a few things and see what I come up with myself in the meantime, thanks.

Here you go see if this helps you out?

If you don't get on your jet quick enough you'll get sucked in and if you do get on your jet in time you will slow down and reverse out of the pull.

    Hope it helps
