Arrays or Randoms?

Hi, I'm pretty new to GameSalad (and to video games creation), I choose this platform because I'm not a programmer, but I'm still having some problems. I would like to create a kind of game (just as a test) where you have to complete colour arrays by clicking on different actors to get into every new level. That means, in the first level I have to find and click, for example, 1 yellow particle, 2 blue and 3 red ones, to pass the level. This should be ramdonly generated. The problem is that I cannot find any action in the game to generate arrays or ramdomize an action.
Any answer / clue / model to follow building my game? thanks!

Hallo locuviche, and welcome to GameSalad and the community.

With respect, if you're new to GS, try not to jump into the deep end too soon, maybe try out a few of TSB's excellent tutorials ( http://gshelper.com/ ), checkout the Cookbook, http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/38157/gamesalad-reference-unofficial-gs-guide#Item_5 , etc.

But anyway, to your question, arrays are on the cards for a future GSC beta release, called Tables. And random behaviour can be accessed via the expression editor (click the "e" symbol in the Actor Editor Rules section). THere you'll find a list on the right column, one of which is random.

It's in the form of random(min, max) so you put your minimum and maximum values in place there. That's it in a nutshell anyhow.

Best of luck with GSC and do persevere; patience brings rewards!
