Greetings GameSalad community!

We are pleased to announce that coinciding with our upcoming release, 0.9.90, GameSalad will be offering a free webinar available to Professional GameSalad members. During this webinar, we will personally introduce you to the new 0.9.90 features. Our internal game development team, GameTeamOne, will walk you through new feature implementation, frequently asked questions, and known issues. The webinar will also give Pro users the option to propose questions during a live, moderated Q&A session with the GameSalad staff.

The webinar will take place on Thursday January 19th at 11am CST. On the day of the 0.9.90 release, we will send out email invitations to all Pro GameSalad users. Our webinar software will allow for 100 Pro members to take part in the live webinar event. The event will be first come, first serve for the first 100 Pro members to join the event at 11am.

If you are a Sous Chef or Line Cook, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending as the information will be duplicate to what you experienced in the previous Sous Chef Ramp Up webinar. This will also allow more available spaces for Pro users.

Again, just to reiterate- email invitations for the Pro member webinar will not go out until the 0.9.90 release is live.

We can't wait to see you there and hope you take part in this exciting opportunity to learn the new features directly from our talented and knowledgeable staff.

See you then!

Lauren

Interesting ... Don't like the 'known issues' part, surely 'known' issues should of been ironed out before release? Im UK, what time is 11am CST?

EDIT: We're 6 hours behind in the UK so unfortunately i won't be participating at 5am! Maybe it would have been a better idea to do it at like 6pm pr onwards in the US, that means most users would have finished work and also gives us guys a chance to arrange a few things and participate. Failing that, you should record this and put it up asap after the event so we can watch it but obviously not participate. Hate to think we miss out because we're abroad!

I second the recording deal. I'm in AK, so I'm fine with the time, but am not looking forward to trying to crash the system with all the other pro-members trying to get in. I may be overestimating the Pro population, but a recording would relieve the potential bottleneck.

Edit: Where is the webinar hosted? Do we need to install plugins/software prior to the meeting?

@beefy_clyro I just looked up the time conversion and I am showing that you are ahead of us. The webinar will take place 5:00 P.M. in London on Thursday 19 January, 2012.
Maybe this tool will help you http://www.iagora.com/itravel/tools/conv/time_cnv.html

Hope that time works better for you! ;)

Ha dunno what time i was converting. How long is it proposed to last @LaurenSalad ? I need to leave the house on thursdays at 6.15pm for football training and if it goes beyond this i wouldn't like to waste a spot signing up if i can't watch it all

    That's great! :)

I third recording the event and allowing (pro) members to watch it at their leisure. I can understand not wanting to overload the connection for the event, but not having the information readily available for dissecting afterward seems like a shame.

@beefy_clyro Good question! It should last right at one hour including both the presentations by GameTeamOne and the moderated Q&A session.

Awesome. You should definitely look at recording it for people who can't or don't make the attendance list

Are these new updates only for pro users?

    @shark1505
I would imagine its some pro and some for everyone. GS generally doesn't like to limit Game Improving Features from anyone, but they have historically made anything regarding monetization to Pro only. Pro users just get an added bonus in being taught how to use the new features.

Sounds great Lauren, I love the idea of a pro member only Webinar to go over the new update. However, what are the odds of getting it moved to later in the day, say around 4:30 - 5:00 CST? It would allow more pro users to participate (myself included) as most would be at work at 11:00 am. Just my two cents.

i think they did this time cause the "pro" who are actually pros work for them selves.
thank god for flexible college schedules. ill be there! or at least signed in while listening to my physics professor
  • Sounds like a plan, I look forward to hearing the Q&A session. Should be some interesting stuff.

@shark1505 @tshirtbooth Not to worry! This PRO webinar is simply a way for us to interact with our professional members one on one and provide support for new features. As always, GameSalad will provide tutorials, Cookbook videos, and blog articles with additional learning resources for all members- FREE and PRO alike.

Great! Hope I am in the first 100.
Can you make this an event in Facebook? That way we can be sure to get the time right. I remember mistakes with this in the past on this forum. Thanks!
