Hey GameSalad, I just purchased a one-year subscription to the $99 express version. What should have been an exciting and fun moment was very tedious. I don't like automatic billing. I don't want to join up for Paypal. Are you hoping that I'll just forget to cancel my subscription? The first thing I did was cancel it.

I do not recommend this type of billing. If people choose to have a subscription, that's cool... but why annoy customers that don't want an account with Paypal or Amazon?

I prefer paypal because it's the easiest to cancel your subscription. Most none scam websites use it because people trust it (:

It takes like a second to join too haha? I hope your not that lazy...

i know people don't like stuff like this for payments, but it's a standard way of accepting payments on the web for small companies.

Using it is part of the price you pay to use the application.

    No problems with paypal personally.

What I *am* wondering is how it works if you want to 'gift' GS to someone else. Can they purchase an extension themselves in a years time? How does that all work, eh?

Oh, and while I'm here, if you're not a paid up apple dev, but have downloaded the SDK anyway for free, can you still use the viewer with GS?

    Cheers,

I don't see why not, you'd be stuck using the iPhone Simulator, but that'll work fine.

    Right, cheers Mulcahy.

So you could use the simulator that comes with the SDK, but not check stuff out on an actual iPhone with the GS viewer?

I believe that you would need the developer certificate and provisioning profiles just to be able to build the GS Viewer on the device, so you will need to join the iPhone developer program for that.
