going through 186 actors and unchecking the "moveable" checkbox on actors that never move! and unchecking "visible" on invisible actors! Talk about resource wasters :)

I wish I knew then what I know now.

So, for all your newbies out there, if the actor doesn't move, uncheck the moveable checkbox under physics, and if it's not visible, instead of putting the alpha down to 0, uncheck the 'visible' option. Saves you a bunch of processing power, and someone (tshirtbooth?) did a comparison and found that it saves a bunch of FPS.

phew, finished. that was painful, and I'm sure I missed a bunch. This took a few sittings to go through everything :)

Um, mass edit the .XML files with an editor that has good search-n-replace capabilities? I know UltraEdit (not sure if it is available for the Mac) can perform such operations on multiple files so maybe there is a similar editor for the Mac?
